“The Night Lights in Georgia” was originally published in the April 1993 issue of Pilot magazine, a publication of the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association.
AOPA published the article again in their AOPA Project Pilot Student Report in 1998.
The original flight in October 1992 was flown solo in a Cessna 152 aircraft, but was re-created in 1995 in a Cessna 172. Video highlights from that flight can be seen here:
